    Sorry cant leave that message alone,Those turbulents off the sluice or generators will chew you up and spit you out. I have had seasoned fishermen locked down in the bottom of the boat up in there. Lots of nasty rocks and rouge waves come out. Seen 3footers appear out of no where. Dont go in there if you dont know what your doing or if you boat dont start on the first try. There ain't no re-do

    Stripes are better right below dam when it's been running high and hard for awhile. Fishing generally better farther down. Went last week for skips from bank. Nada. To second shelkcat - when below dam best to learn from somebody. Trial and error can be deadly there. I fish dams all over the country and that's one of the most dangerous. If they're sluicing you'll actually get pulled into dam so if motor dies and anchor don't catch you're done. I've been fishing the river for years and seen all kinds of crazy bad luck. Still my fav place!
