I find it a bit confusing as to why some of the same people who are condemning Kim Davis for her beliefs are celebrating Pope Francis' visit to the USA. Just a short time ago the Pope said that he would tolerate "some" same-sex civil unions, but not same-sex marriages.

Kim Davis is an elected official who is trying to push HER PERSONAL RELIGIOUS Beliefs on others and ILLEGALLY preventing people from getting married. She should do her job or quit.

The Pope on the other hand is leading by example and he truly is a Good Christian. I'm not Catholic but I really do like this new Pope. Remember he is not a Government Official but a Religion Leader of the Catholics.

Everyone is free to practice their religion in this country. But if you are an elected official you have to put your religious beliefs aside and do you job according to the LAWS of the land. Kim can't have both.

If she were really religious she would practice tolerance and not go around judging others as if she were GOD. She is not God and should stop acting like she is GOD.

People in the past that failed to follow the law due to religious beliefs should remember what George Washington did to the Whisky Rebellion Folks when this country was first founded. That was over taxes on whisky but the principles are the same. There is a separation between the State and Religion in this Country and it's always been that way since this country was founded.

The argument that Kim is being denied her religion when she denies people the right to get married is hog wash. She is discriminating against people using her official Government Position and that is just dead wrong.

I will bet that the Federal Judge will find her in contempt of court again and this time the punishments will be harsher.

The judge gave her rope and she took it and wrapped it around her own neck this time. She will learn a lesson very soon. You don't mess with the Federal Judges or any Judge for that matter. They have control and you don't no matter what your religious beliefs.

The pope may be a kind and caring person, but I have my doubts about the Christian part. I do believe it is time for Kim Davis to step aside. The law is not biblical so she cannot follow it, but it is the law of the land and she was elected to follow those laws. She has made her point and I commend her for it, but it is time to move on.
