Barren River Lake

Anyone been to Barren? Looking for lake conditions.

It's very very tough we fished a tournament there yesterday and only 1 boat had a limit 4 keepers & 1 slot weighing 9 lbs and some change, my partner and I had 3 fish 2 keepers and 1 slot, big fish was 2.92 and went to the 3rd place team, I fished Tuesday as well and caught 4 fish all day 7:30-3:30 1 keeper, 1 slot and 2 shorts I think we had 20 boats and everyone was just shaking their heads. I threw everything I could think of jig, buzzbait, spinnerbait, 4 different cranks, topwater you name it I tried it but nothing worked

Water clear for barren. Could see a white curly tail down about two foot. Temps 66-69. Shad stacked in the creeks.

Never got a bite fishing for crappie. Fished from 10-20' on brush using jigs. Never marked fish on the graph save for clouds of shad. Nothing busting the shad either.
