Kentucky River at High Bridge

Thinking about last minute kayak trip tomorrow. Anybody know if the river conditions are favorable. I will have to paddle up and downstream.

It should be good shape, very little current I would say by looking at the levels

River's in good shape for kayaking.

Well i went today. It was beautiful out there. Put in at Shaker Village and made it almost to the dam. Discharge was too tough for me to make it all the way. Caught a few bluegill and enjoyed the scenery. For anyone that has not been in that area you are sure missing out.

Fished the KY River today until 1pm. temp varied 60 to 65F. water fairly clear.

14 bass = 1 smallie, 6 Blacks and 7 KY's.

some banks had to battle the leaves as we caught most on top water. The ones that were hitting were aggressive. Partner hooked one on buzz bait and he got off at boat. He looked down and the fish was sitting there by boat. dropped buzz bait in and the fish drilled it again.

where were you fishing? I have only caught ONE fish out of the river
