    Change in surgery plans.

Good news bad news, the surgery scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled. Why? Because the stress test showed a problem and I have a blockage in blood flow to the heart.
New plan. I'm having a heart cath performed Wednesday to determine the amount of blockage and if necessary have a stint or stints installed.
All of this means the aneurysm repairs have been put on hold.
Thanks to my niece that works at the office that did the stress test to get the doctor to review its results.

    been there, done that

I'm not going to tell you not to worry, you will, I did. The heart cath is something else, you'll might be awake and watch, but you won't care.Stents are now no big deal.I'm sure you,ve been on web md, and know the success rate is very high. If you have the anurosim? in the lower abdomen, get it fixed as soon as you can.I hope they found it it time, a stent will work real well. Mine did. These golden years can turn out to be irksome. Wish you the best,I'm not going to tell you the best is yet to come.I started to count my blessings years ago. via con dios.

I didn't know I had any "blockage". No shortness of breath, numbing of the extremities,or chest pain. Yes, it's good that this was caught and can be addressed.

I'm back home somewhat early from the hospital. Results could not have been better on the heart cath. Minimal blockage that requires no stents or angioplasty. I'm good to go for the originally planned aneurysm procedure next Thursday the 5th.
It was all your prays that made this possible.
I'm typing with one hand now as the doc went up through my right wrist as opposed to going through the groin. Have to keep the wrist still for the next 3 to 4 hours.

Thanks. The doctor banned me from fishing due to cath insertion into my right wrist....no casting with that arm nor reeling. As if I could cast left handed.
