this is interesting, I remember back in the day, I was listening to the news and they were flying a jet across the US timing how fast it did it, and I remember the guy saying it took 7 minutes from Missouri to Cincinnati. here is a list of some really fast aircraft, one that can reach any target in the world in one hour, hard to really wrap your mind around that kind of speed.http://www.historyinorbit.com/the-to...istory/20/?v=p

At a mind boggling speed of 24,791 mph Apollo 10 is the fastest manned vehicle ever. On 10/9/2013 the spacecraft Juno became the fastest man-made object as it accelerated to 165,000 mph during a slingshot maneuver around the earth. That's 25 miles per second, a 50 caliber round travels at approx. 1/2 mile per second.
