I know they had their own reasons for doing so but France provided money, material and weapons to assist a group of rebels that was fighting to be free from oppression beginning in 1775. Later in that same revolution they provided an army and a navy to that newly formed republic to further help them in their quest for freedom. I'm glad France provided more than arms and food for what later became the greatest country the world has ever known.

As far as protecting ourselves from the type of terrorist that recently struck in Paris, Donald's wall doesn't sound like such a stupid idea any more.

No more attempting to catch and return illegals trying to sneak across the border. If you see them leave that side and step across this border, treat them as invader/intruder and fire on them. If they surrender, arrest, then deport. If they flee under fire, keep firing till they cross back to where they came. Feel folks tried cross the border to get into Russia, very few succeed the attempt to cross into Israel.
No fences nor walls required on the southern border, sniper teams would be far cheaper and far more effective stopping infiltrators, and insuring those that try and fail shall never again be capable of trying again.

My thoughts on this is that we already have way too many people living in our country now. That is the basis of most all our problems. Over crowding. The world is overpopulated with humans and we have or are going to exceed the carrying capacity of their earth for humans.

The problem is that you really can't tell what they think or believe and that's the real problem. France has shown that sleeper cells are dangerous. A few bad apples can destroy all the freedoms that we still have left. When some ******* can take a coke can on a plane and blow himself and all the other people out of the sky then who's going to want to fly anymore. This is just one example how one bad apple can ruin the entire bushel of apples.

If I gave you a bowl ful of juice grapes and told you that only two of them contained poison how many of them would you eat? I think this quote pretty much sums up the problem that we have.

A nice lady was debating this very issue with herself and some friends. She's a good Christian lady who willing takes in strangers and give them comfort and food and a warm place to lay their heads down to rest but even she is having problems with this concept of taking in Syrian Refuges.

And we have not been on good terms with the Leader of Syria or Russia over the past few decades. So that makes it even harder to want to welcome them into America.

I can barely take care of myself these days let alone bring someone else into my home to shelter and feed. Sorry but I have to draw the line somewhere. Now I'm sure that there are other people who have many more resources than I have who might be willing to shelter some strangers and feed them too. God bless them for what they would do. But would they want to be held accountable for any illegal or negative actions that their new friends might do once they get into this country? By then it will be too late.

During WWII when we were at war with Germany, Japan and Italy we rounded up all the Asian Japanese people in this country and put them in isolation camps were they could not do harm. Germany tried to send over some spies or sabetours and we caught them and put them in prison until the end of the war. We are at war with ISIS now and it's not good or proper to being people into this country if we can't figure out who's side they are really on. The middle eastern people are not stupid and they are fighting us with everything that they have to use at their disposal. Terrorism is now one of their main and only effective weapons.

MY vote is to shut them down and don't let them come over here. Make them fight in their own country and defeat the radicals. I'd support giving them help to do that. But they must not come here. Period.
