Dale Wednesday good numbers

I was crappie fishing Dale Tuesday. Caught a few bass around 30' also. Most of the bait balls were around 25-30' and fish all under them. Made we wish I had took my trolling gear.

So how was the crappie bit?

Sllloooowww! Caught a few good ones around 20'. Had 9 keepers. Fish seemed to have their arms wrapped around the trees. Glad I brought plenty of hooks. It really slowed down after 10am but I stayed til 2.

20 Inch crappie?

I too have had a few tell me of catching the biggest crappie ever. This year. The locals seem to grub out. A dozen or so and for the most part need to be measured. But a few monsters are showing up

Dad may be coming to Dale with me tomorrow so I may pick up some live bait to try. Where and what do you all recommend to get some around the west side of the lake. I've never thrown LB so how do guys normally rig it and do you throw it in the same places you would throw a jig and such? Thanks.
