    Buffalo Wings

I'm trying to expand my limited culinary skills or lack thereof and fix up some Buffalo Wings for Thursday night Football. This will be my first attempt at this dish.

Alton Brown has an interesting recipe that I'm going to try.

We've already bought the wings and I was able to separate the wings into their respective pieces. Pretty simple process even for this novice.

I'll let y'all know how they turn out.

Tonight, it's another round of fried crappie, homemade coleslaw, onion rings, and hush puppies. Maybe some cornbread too.

I would make sure that the sauce you are going to use on them has Frank's Original Hot Sauce in it. That is the quintessential buffalo taste, in my opinion.

And buffalo wings/chicken is my favorite food. I have tried it everywhere and in many variations - wings, chicken, pizza, dip, catfish, shrimp, tacos, salads, sandwiches, pretzels, etc.

Coleslaw has been made and is "sweating" in the fridge. I'm going to add a little more cayenne pepper than I have in the past into the hush-puppie's batter. Need to put just a little bit more "BAM" into them.

Crappie fillets have been thawed and I'll let them marinate in butter milk for about an hour before I dredge them in J.R. Mad's Madgic Fish Breading.

sounds good Tyme, as for the fish batter, if you haven't tried it before, try taking your fish out of the batter and rolling them in a dish filled with hungry jack instant potato flakes. I tried them a few years back, and it's all I use any more.

Nothing would please me more than to share our meal with all the fine folks here on fishin.com. Alas, I'm not Jesus and these 12 fillets will not feed the multitudes!!

Y'all ain't never seen my son,Jeff wolf down food!! He'll probably eat 6 fillets and Mrs.Tyme and I will split the other six.

    Buffalo Wings Critique.
Tasty, but not spicy hot at all. I even added some Tabasco sauce to the sauce. I guess the butter calms down the fire of Frank's Hot Sauce. These were oven baked and not deep fried and I think that gave a different texture to the final product. Don't get me wrong, they were good but I guess I was expecting them to have a little more fire.
