Replacing my Minn Kota 40 Edge with 70 Maxxum on my stratos 176 XT. Does anyone know if the mount holes are the same for both trolling motors?

FYI A feature I went to years back with minn Kota s was the slide plate mount, you mount the base on the boat,
You mount a slide on the base of trolling motor.
It literally slides on an off, Secured with a lock an or nut an bolts. About 10 minute to switch.
Plus s if you ever decide to upgrade its a plug an play
We that depend on a lot tm hours, an keep back up units available, warranty or repair you slide it off slide the back up on
A feature some of us use together an can help each other out from time to time
Obviously not for everyone
Thanks for the input.
Got the trolling motor last night.
May be a little while before I change it out as I have to do some re rigging to fit a 2nd battery in too. Was going to be a winter project but got a deal on Cyber Monday.
I always use the slide mount quick on and off when needed. As far as hole pattern most manufacturers have a hole pattern on their websites, just compare the two before you start.
On my old 1988 Ranger I had a Minn Kota Mag 40 trolling motor. When I replaced the trolling motor in 2006 with a Minn Kota Edge the bolt pattern was the same for the bracket.
I was able to use 2 of the 4 existing holes. Apparently When the 40 Edge was installed they made their own holes in plate and boat near the nose of the boat so the bolts wouldn't bottom out. On to figuring out to how to re rig the battery/engine compartment to fit the extra battery
