    Paducah help

I have been asked by my wife (told to go) on her business trip to the baptist hospital down there. I have several hour with nothing to do and upon a google search I see an area around dam 52 I'd like to soak some bait. Any help with the area would be greatly appreciated. I know the river is up but have dealt with a little high water in my time. Thanks in advance. Chuck

For what it's worth: http://theohioriver.com/ohio-river-anglers-notes/dam-52 I have never fished Smithland, but understand they catch a few nice stripers there.

But if you are landlocked, take a short drive into the land between the lakes and wet a line in the canal which connects Kentucky and Barkley lakes.

Or in the tailwaters below the dams.

Well I got to soak some bait behind the Quilt museum (Clark Griswald is on his way there) in Paducah. Didn't get a sniff but my trip was cut short due to my wife's conference being cut short . Did enjoy the visit and the shear amount of fish able waters in the area. They be some big cats in the area...I felt it. And all I got to say is I"LL BE BACK.
