Just made some plans to vacation west of panama city beach near lake powell florida a few blocks from beach. Planning on fishing from the beach but I also hope to take a kayak to fish bay/backwaters in the area.

I know plenty of you all on this site like to fish whereever you go. Just looking for any pointers if anyone has been near this area as far as surf fishing and also kayak options for this area during past vacations.
