My dad and I went down there bass fishing for his first time on the lake yesterday. The water was 46-49 degrees and a little stained. We caught 2 small stripers in the first 45 minutes on Alabama rigs and then didn't get another bite until right before it got dark when he caught a 14" largemouth on a silver buddy. We put in at the state park and fished main lake pockets and cuts trying to stay out of the wind. We wanted to run to Beaver, but turned around due to rough water and not wanting to take a beating. We threw A-Rigs, jigs, drop shots, crankbaits, and we threw a jerkbait a little bit.

I'm sure someone did better than us, so let's hear it. What did we do wrong?
