Obama has been good for the alternative energy companies. He supported wind, solar and other forms of energy.

Finding more natural gas and using f racking to get more oil and gas out of the ground has driven down the price of oil. The Saudis want lower prices for a short time in order to try to bankrupt new oil drilling companies. They they will be there after all the new companies go out of business and then they will OPEC can raise the prices by limiting the supply again. But as long as we are finding new oil in the US OPEC can't control the price of oil. Right now we are running out of places to store the oil that we are brining up out of the earth. Over supply leads to lower prices along with lowering demand. Making the car companies develop cars and trucks that are more energy efficient has also helped to lower the demand side of the equation.

Bush was not friendly to alternative energy companies IIRC.
as plane as you made this post, a six year old child can understand it, the things you stated above, is Obama's policies for cleaner energy, and that has put the pressure on the Saudie oil Kings, to lower the price of their Fossil fuel. thats all they have and they.re hoping the low prices will keep the world using their fossil fuel, cleaner energy is the future, China can see it as well, they are now the # 1 clean energy developing country in the world, clean energy investment around the world, hit a record amount $ 329 billion in 2015. I think America would be # one, if Obama would have had any help, Mitch Mcconnell said as soon as Obama was elected, that it was his # one priority to see that Obama was a one term President, how can anyone accomplish anything, working with folks like that.
