the writer Jim Hoft said Bernie never earned a payday until age 40, yet Bernie ran for the US senate in 1971 when he was 30 years old, and had worked as a carpenter and with abused children, before he was age 30, does the writer Jim Hoft think Bernie worked for free driving nails in the hot sun, surely Bernie earned a payday before age 40. he had to have some money to run for US senate. so I can see where Jim Hoft lied about the age of Bernie's first paycheck, and it makes me doubt anything else he said.
