Okeechobee help

I'm heading to big O March 2. I have only been on the lake for 6 hours with a guide about 10 years ago. Caught a 8.5 and 7.0 that day. Any information on the lake would be appreciated. Myself, my brother, and my father will all be going. Really excited for this trip, but also little intimidated by all the water there. Thanks!

Very high water right now. Water is up to the dikes max levels. They are letting out 4-5 million gallons of water every day. There are red tide warnings out too. Good luck!

Ouch!!! At least there are a lot of lakes nearby. Lol

5 to 6 inch Golden Shiner on 10/0 gammy 18" below a fist size baloon. (sp)? It will look all the same at first but look for the little cut,s and just one foot difference in depth areas. The Monkey box and North shore area has always been go to spot's.
