When I look at the world of basketball sports
There are a lot of opinionated, open-ended reports
Of things gone wrong, players singing the wrong song
Even imitating Cheech and Chong
Maybe that’s before your time
So go see “Up in Smoke” on your own dime
Some say college basketball is “one and done”
The sky is falling, North Carolina we should have won
Basketball has no soul… “a suffering sick patient”
Too many recruits eyeing an agent
Officiating gone wild, too many fouls
Uniforms too baggy, lack of style
Should we play a zone
Or Anthony Davis we should clone
Maybe in and out with the platoon
Some say that’s Looney Tunes
Fans have become too quiet, player’s jocks way too tight
Offense, defense will it be, blue or white
So give your best roar when the Cats are on the prowl
And fear not when the coyotes start to howl
Some think its about hair style, diamonds and skin art
But we all know its what’s in the heart
But when it is all said and done
Its about education, girls and just having fun
Have pride in yourself and your school
And don’t forget the Golden Rule
To me that sounds real cool
How about those Cats”
