Does anyone know where I can pick up some 6 gauge marine rated wire for my trolling motor near the /Georgetown Lexington area

Dont know about the marine rated part
You want the stranded wire not the solid wire. It takes the vibration easier.
You are correct, in my searches what keeps coming up is ANCOR 6 gauge TINN coated copper stranded wire
its not cheap around 5$ a foot for the red/black and wire.
From what I have read going with undersize wire reduces the efficiency of your motor.
I removed a 65lb thrust 24 volt Min Kota that always seemed under powered for my boat.
I figured that I would not have to replace the wire from my batteries only jumper going to the 36 volt system.
I looked at the wire and it looked to be 10 gauge. So I kind of wonder how it would have performed with the correct wire.
I bought mine at the local Minn Kota dealer. Told him the length of the run and figured they would know the wire I needed. It in charge that much it's a lot easier than doing all that research.
Where I live there is no local anyone so I end up doing research on most everything
Amazon prime......it'll be at your door day after tomorrow.

This is where I got mine. They will make any length you want and even put terminal ends on if you want.

This is where I got mine. Would buy from again. I just ordered the length I needed and the ends I needed. They were custom made and shipped quickly
I've bought it from stokley's in the past.
