Cowardly flag desecration

Never thought it'd happen to me! Between the hours of 2pm to 3:05pm this afternoon, when no one was home, someone entered my front yard in broad daylight and cut down my cemented in the ground 20' flag pole complete with dusk to dawn light (broken when it fell) and, more importantly, the American flag. To say I was pi---- off is an understatement! My wife had left the house prior to my son; Evan, who went to work just before 1:45, I got home at 3:05p, in that hour or so my flag was destroyed. Maybe its a coincidence but school's out about that time, it's about a block away and its 80% immigrant and illegal populated, not that anyone from the school may have did this, but my retired detective mind kinda wonders? It could also be that someone saw my son in his uniform (US Army Special Forces) over the weekend when he was at his Active Reserve airborne weekend? Whoever the cause, what the hell's become of this country. By the way, this happened on Columbus, Ohio's northeast end.

Maybe someone saw something and will tell the police what happened.
One day I was drying out my tent getting it ready to go camping. I got lazy and didn't stake it down to the ground. The wind blew it across the street. I went and put it back in my back yard. A hour later I see the tent moving across the back yard from East to West. Note: Winds around here were blowing form West to East. So the wind was not blowing it into the wind. I watched for a few seconds and could not figure out what was going on. The tent was moving on its one for all I could tell. As my viewing angle changed with the movement of my tent into my neighbors yard I started to see feet under the tent. Then I saw that two women were holding onto the tent and moving it towards my neighbors yard. I came out the back door and asked them what in the H they were doing. They stopped and didn't know what to say. They said that found this tent and were trying to take it home. They lived down the road from my house in a rental property. One of them was a "stripper" who worked at the strip joint in town. She was augmented if you know what I saying.

They both were very apologetic and tried to sweet talk me. What they didn't know was that the tent was trashed already. My step daughter had used it the last time and her friends sprayed beer or soda all over the tent fly and failed to wash and dry it after using it the last time. And the fabric was bad and easily torn. So I really didn't care about the tent. What concerned me was that someone would come into my back yard and try to steal the worthless tent. I never told them about the tent. I just let them plead their case and let them think I was going to call the police. I let them go after they apologized and they went back home. I'm not sure where they left their car. Maybe they drove by earlier, saw the tent and then took their car back home and walked though the back yard to get the tent and take it home the same way. If I had not been home and looking out the back window they would have gotten away with my old raggedy tent. I should have let them take it and try camping out in it. They would have gotten soaked the first time it rained and the tent leaked water all over them. I doubt that they were knowledgeable about taking care of tents. We had that tent for about 10 years before this time.

My point is that people will steal you blind if you let them. I was watching a TV show last night about the fall of Vietnam. After our marines left the US Embassy hundreds of people walked into the embassy building and took anything that was not bolted down. It looked like the Watt's riots with people carrying chairs, tables, tv and couches out of the building and walking away with anything they could carry.

I can tell you exactly what's become of this country......open borders, people who come here, not to accept the American way, to work hard, pay taxes, become citizens, and proudly wave the American flag, immigrants who want a hand out, who expect, and demand that we the tax payers pay for them to eat, live, and breed....this country is still the best country in the world by far, but I fear in the next 100 years, we will be nothing more than a third world country!!!
