1: Shoot down a Russian Jet in the Baltic Sea right next to the Russian Boarder. Well it's actually closer to Russia than the USA so that's more in their back yard than our. Should we shoot down the Russian planes that get too close to the USA boarders? Should Obama claim a 200 mile zone around our boarders and shoot down or destroy any Russian Plane or submarine that gets too close. Do we now have a 12 mile zone or is it 3 miles off the coasts. I know it's not 200 miles.
Maybe the captain should have shoot a missile at those Russian Jets in the Baltic Sea just to the NE of the Russian Boarders and then see what the Russians do next?
So far no one has been injured and we have not lost any naval assets or even had the paint on the destroyer/cruiser scratched. And I'm pretty sure that we had a few guns on the cruiser that were manually trained on those low flying Russian jets as the flew over the cruiser. We could have easily fired a missile or the 20 mm phenoix gun at those jets and brought them down. But then the Russians would just send more of them and they would be fully armed and angry and be going for blood not just goofing around and flying low over the cruiser. They probably would have destroyed the Cruiser and all the people on board would have been killed or captured by the Russian Navy. They probably outnumber or ships in this area as it's not that far from their coastline and it's thousands of miles away from the USA. I doubt that Regan could have done anything either. At least Obama is still sending our Navy into this area and we have not been scared out of the Baltic Sea. And we continue to sail though the South China Sea in defiance of China's claims to the area. We are not backing down.
