Finally splurged and Bought lucky craft pointer 65 and 78 baits they came with a split ring which through use gets tangled up in the eye every now in then. My question is remove and tie a loop style knot or keep it tie polimar

I have only had that issue on the pointer 65. The easiest thing to do is replace with a small round split ring. If you remove and not have a split ring at all it may change the suspending as pointers are perfectly balanced to suspend level. Plus I quit using loop knots years ago as I broke off many good fish using loop knots. I tend to like to bump bottom when I fish cranks / jerks and for whatever reason using loop knots was worst on knot / line damage...

Try the 65DD on your next one. Goes down 4 to 5 feet and has more vibration. A guy on ebay is selling shell white in the 65SP among other colors for 12.49...
