Last report from the bait shop webpage was from 4/19 and indicated that the Crappie were shallow ( http://cedarcreeklakeky.com/fishing-report/ ) so one would assume that they've spawned by now & moved out to their post spawn/early Summer depths.

I've also learned that there are INDEED White Crappie roaming the waters of Cedar Creek !! How they got in there is anybody's guess, but I suspect a few got included along with the other stocked Crappie. And since the Gizzard Shad survived the initial poisoning attempt, there may well have been some White Crappie that escaped the poison as well.

I haven't fished CC for Crappie, in several years ... but, I have caught at least ONE White Crappie from there in the past. I've also caught Blacknose Black Crappie from there, many years ago.

I've caught a few white crappie out of there in the past. They are few and far between but definitely there. I've caught two this year already back in March.

Yeah, I know .... but, they just don't seem to want to play with me. LOL !! I went back to going to Taylorsville for Crappie, and have caught bigger ones there, the last two years, than I've seen come from there since the lake was formed.

it's up a few feet and starting to get murky. Lots of debris floating around. Caught crappie shallow 2 weeks ago but they have backed off to deeper water recently. I was going to go this weekend but I might pass due to the cold front.

    Question Cedar Creek

Did anybody go this weekend? I'm planning on going this coming Saturday the 21st would like to know how this weekend went. Is the courtesy dock usable now? I was down there last week and I had to climb up on it with my knee and I'm 6'? It had rained the day before I went and it was going to rain the next day. There were about ten boats on the lake and I saw only one or two fish get reeled in all day. The wind was ridiculous spent a lot of time trolling against it.

From what I understand, the lake is full again, so the docks should be usable finally.

I was there yesterday. Courtesy docks are back to normal. I am not sure what you are fishing for...but Bass bite was very good if you found the right water color. I am sure it will clear up by this weekend but parts of the lake were murky to partly murky. The partly murky water is where we found fish towards the Dam. Nothing on Top Water bite. Everything on jigs and you had to have wind on main lake points to catch fish.

Fished Friday evening and like 520 said, waters up to normal. I was mainly looking for crappie and had zero luck. Couldn't find any in the murky water. Gave up on crappie and tried a buzz bait for a while up in one of the creeks and struck out too. Water was bad on the lower end of the lake, didn't venture toward the dam at all. Sounds like I should have.
