It's raining more and more these days. Will it ever stop or will all the North Pole and South Pole Glaciers melt over time?

I've got a boat and some camping gear stocked up just in case I need to find higher ground via the water path some day. I named my boat "THE ARC".

Our local area has had way too much rain. The lakes are all above summer pool. Patoka Lake was 6 ft over summer pool last week. My local fishing strip pits are all way too high. I can't even launch my boat.

And GEO. The poles are not getting larger. They are melting man. Melting fresh water in the form of ice/snow into good old fresh water that's flowing into the Oceans and causing the sea levels to rise. Which is why Donald Trump's golf course is thinking about building dikes around it to keep it from getting flooded in the future.

Even Donald Trump recognized that Global Warming is real and is being accelerated by mankind's activities. Especially the burning of fossil fuels which has released more CO2 that the world can absorb naturally.

I remember getting floods and major amounts of rain, droughts, unusually cold Winters and unusually hot Summers at different times through my life. Looking at the record books I remember seeing devastating floods and droughts as well. How far back do we go and blame the cyclic Climate Change on Global Warming? It seems now that if we don't have perfect weather it's Global Warming. I think some people need a victim so they can push an agenda.

I guess you're way too much of an expert on this stuff to believe the views of NASA Goddard scientists. Yea, I posted that link, but you obviously didn't read it.

The polar caps especially the South Pole are getting smaller every summer. The North Polar Area is of GREAT CONCERN to the US Navy Brass as it melting ice opens up the famed Northwest Passage to Russian Nuclear Equipped Submarines that carry intercontinental missiles closer to the US Mainland. Don't tell us that the US Navy is wrong! You want to lie and take on the US Navy Brass. Now that is foolish.

I guess it all depends on who's doing the speaking for the NASA. A simple Google Search on "Global Warming" will show many different stores about Global Warming.

Remember that it only takes a few degree's increase in Temperature to melt ice when it's 32 deg F. Going from 32 Deg F to 33 Deg F will cause the ice to melt. So from one temperature where the water is tied up in ice to another deg warmer the ice all melts and turns into water. A few more energy units are need to make the phase change from a solid to a liquid of course.

Ice expands as it freezes which is why ice floats on top of the water. The ice crystals take up more room and become less dense than water at 4 deg C. Water is more dense at 4 deg C than at 0 deg C or the freezing point of water under normal pressure of 760 mm of Hg or 29 " of water pressure at Sea Level.

Global temperatures is a term that a lot of people don't understand or use to confuse everyone. Global temperatures vary from the South Pole to the North Pole at any one point in time. But take hundreds of thousands of accurate temperature readings all over the planet at on time and then average them to figure out what is going on. That's a whole lot of temperature readings to take in order to get the Average Global Temperature of the Earth at one point in time. Now during the Summer time in the Northern Hemisphere it will be much warmer in general as compared to the Southern Hemisphere as it's winter down in the Southern Hemisphere when it's summer in the Northern Hemisphere. Due to the tilt of the Earth's Axis and the position of the Earth as it circles around our Sun.

I get my directions about Global Warming by watching the Discovery Channel and the other TV stations that deal with Scientific Research program's such as NOVA. They IMHO give the best information on Global Warming. Anyone funded by a Fossil fuel slush fund IMHO can't be trusted. There is too much money at stake and we all know that money corrupts. I trust the US Government funded programs and research organizations more than the Fossil Fuel funded ones.

And anyone should be able to go online and see Satellite Photos of the Northern Polar regions in the Summer Months.

And the Navy Brass has been talking about the thinning and vanishing ice sheets on the Oceans in the Northern Hemisphere for more than a few years now. It's the Naval Admirals job to protect America from Soviet and other Countries Nuclear Armed Missile Submarines and the danger they present. These days the Soviet Subs can travel though the Northern Waters during the Summer Months much easier than before the Ice sheets on the water's started receding.

Go research this topic for yourself. The Navy has a serious job to do protecting our country from attack by foreign countries. And the Soviet Navy is producing newer ballistic submarines that are quieter than ever before and harder to detect and destroy before they can shoot their missiles. The closer they can get to our shorelines the faster their nuclear missiles can hit our country. So the Navy doesn't like it when the enemy submarines can get closer to our shorelines. Remember when Sara Palin said she could see Russia from her House? Well there was something to that. Alaska used to belong to Russia and it only a short distance from the Russian Shores. The Bearing Sea is not that big and Russia and the USA are not that far apart when you think about the Northern Parts of both counties. Russian Bombers are currently testing the NATO air defenses on a more frequent basis since Putin got in charge. They are in Syria, Crimea and Georgia and trying to expand their spear of influence in the world. As is China. Imagine having not only Russian Boomers in the Norhtern Waters but Chinese nuclear Missile Submarines up there too.

New Orleans sit's below sea level. If you have even been there and walked below the levee you will notice that you are BELOW the River not above it. The land is sinking due to subsidence in the City of New Orleans. Which is why Katria was such a disaster. Once the levees were breached the water flooded into the lower lying areas.

Remember when the hurricane landed near New York City a few years ago and the cities' subways were flooded. Expect more of this to happen as the oceans rise due to the melting ice on the land up in the North Polar Regions. And the Southern Polar Regions are seeing more ice slide into the ocean and less ice on the land masses down there in their summer months.

During the winter months the snow packs the ice with more snow/ice but it melts in the summer months. But the average amount of snow is receding over time. That is to say that more ice melts in the summer than what is replaced in the winter. So there is a net loss of ice at both poles over time.

Now Historical Geologist teach that the worlds ocean have risen and fallen over the past millions of years. And the impact they had on ancient civilizations can be still seen today at the bottom of the ocean in some places. Ancient cities that were once above sea level are not below the sea. Scuba divers can still visit the remains of these ancient buried cities.

Things that were predicted to happen by many of the Climate Scientist are happening. More rain and flooding. Increases in stronger storms. With increased heat (energy) in our Earths ecosystem comes increases in rain and storms. Remember it takes sunlight and energy to drive the hydraulic cycle on this Earth. So the more energy we receive the greater the water moves around. The water the earth becomes the more moisture leaves the oceans and enters the atmosphere in the form of clouds.
