Yeah I'll take them on. A intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) by definition has a minimum range of 3400 miles. What difference does it make if a boomer sub get a little closer to the mainland? As far as the Northwest Passage goes the eastern end of it is very shallow. In one place as little as 50 feet. There's no way a boomer could traverse through there without being detected.
