    Smile granddaughter

I made her a promise that I'd stay alive long enough to see her get a degree. It was up to the lord, he heard my prayers. My son and her came to visit last week, and she said not to risk the trip, she said she understood, her mother died when she was 12 years old, my son sacrficed his career, and became a teacher, in her school. For a number of years, he commuted often between NYC and atlanta, but gave it up. His silver parachute paid for her education, she worked part time, has a goodly sum in the bank, no debt, and some stock in the company she works for.I learned last week, that my step grandson also got his degree. I'm sorry for carrying on, but I'm so darn proud of my children, and what they did to make sure that education was not a choice, but an obligation Not bad for a third generation "dumb pollock".

Proudest moment of my life is when not one but both of my daughters graduated from college. My oldest with a BS in History and a BA in English from Indiana University, and my Youngest with a BA in English and a BA in Violin Performance from Bellarmine.

Now make her another promise.....that you will take care of yourself. She'd appreciate that as a sign you care enough for her not to have to go forward without you.

Your are a hoot to hear from K, stay around.

So glad to see that you got to see her graduate. U Tube or Video? Sad to hear you have health problems. I know that feeling as well.
