Several of us that live here on the lake have decided this year we will trade our arguments and frustrations in for high quality video cameras. If you come blasting in on us in a manner we feel presents a danger to our boat or its occupants your antics will be videoed and turned over to the county attorney , local kdfwr emforcement and the coast guard. Its going to stop, one way or another.
And for anyone that doesnt like it.....I give a rats....
I dont like getting ran over
I was in the area near the dam on 10/1 bass fishing and the water temp was 77. Since then we have had several cool nights...has the water temp on the lower end of the lake came down very much?
Plan on going back to Cumberland either this weekend or next weekend...what I am waiting for is a lower water temperature.
Up until 10/1 I had not been on Cumberland since April. I noticed on 10/1 when I was near the dam that it looked like there was only one way traffic going across the dam. From the lake it appeared like there was a stop light on the road going across the dam to control traffic...whats up with that?
They are blacktopping 127
They have finished blacktopping and now are replacing the gearboxes on the spillway gates. They will be at that for a while.
Yes, Thursday was a big turn around. Same area outside Jamestown near Low Gap, and in the mouth of Lilly, then Wolfe, and finally out over the flats halfway between Jamestown and Wolfe.
Best thing was as the surface feeding of each group started to slow and the fish scattered, we were getting hits on shiners on freelines 70 foot behind the boat, and down rods at 20 an 40 feet. Big turn around from Wednesday night.
And ya know Monday and Tuesday night when they were surfacing, and again Thursday night, seemed like boats were staying spread out, not big motoring in, our crowding. I guess that was because the pods of fish surfacing were so spread out and coming up at some many different locations that it seemed like each guy just had his own area.
BTW to all, State Dock had some super shiners for Striper fishing Thursday.
