There is a purgatory. I guess those things I considered as little sins, may have been a bit more than that. when after a confession, and doing the standard pennance, [numerous our fathers, and hail marys], the purgatory begins, even if you're alive. It begins with the admonishment by friends, family, clergy[even pets], and the medical profession. All those things you'r guilty of are brought o light. Smoking, fast food, alcohol, lack of exercise, peculiar sexual desires, and sloth. these things can be cured[is it worth it].Now the atonement begins, at the hands of your friendly MD. You know your in deep doo-doo, when these three letters appear. NPO. This in some cases means purgatives of various strenghts., enforced fasting[my record is 16 hours], and then probing, cutting, poking in various body places, even the eyes. The real pain is finding that your medical insurance rules these things voluntary and denies payment. Now you know what "paying for your sins" really means.
My thyroid has been minimally working for years, pills for that.Bladder quit, medical device for that. now it looks like the gall bladder is going to be history.Next time my drivers license asks about organ donation, I'll tell em "aint got no more to give"
