Last tuesday in the late evening, I received the first one.A very faint voice, buy finally I recogignized the voice, it was my brother, last time he called we talked about the cubs, and health problems as usual. But this call was different, he said he in the ICU, and the out look wasn't good, he said this might be the last phone call, as we talked he said to me not to take it so hard, he wasn't afraid to die, in fact his words were "been there done that". He died on the operating table years back after a severe auto accident, it took the fir department almost an hour to cut him out of his car, he was in critical care for almost 2 months, and wore the halo for a month after. He was barely able to walk afterwards, he had a scooter, and a portable O2 unit. The accident happened on his way home from church[ he never missed a sunday mass if he able to go].After a large settlement he moved to oregon and they lived with his son. He hated it! He always said he wanted to move back to wisconson. Two months ago he did. The next call was his son, bill was gone, he died but was in good spirits right to the end,his pains and suffering are over.Yesterday evening my daughter called. " TURN ON THE GAME" she said.I did bottom of the 8th, cubs up by 5. Well its over, next year finally got here, yep there were tears in my eyes. there is no way I can make it to my bros funeral. A drive to northern wisc. is beyond me.Both my kids said they'd drive me, but with my conditions, it would be amost torture for them. Besides this tuesday I'll get the results of the CAT scan I had friday.Regardless of the results, my old life is over for all practical purposes, and I'm going to thank the lord for all my good fortune, and make the most of what he sees fit to give me.

sorry for your loss my friend, I lost a brother to a wreck, it hurts but it helps knowing they believed in Jesus, the Bible says, the eye has not seen, and the ear hasn't heard, whats in store for those that love the Lord. if your brother had a choice to stay where he is or come back to this life, I doubt if he would come back. just keep praying and giving thanks to Jesus and You will be ok.Last tuesday in the late evening, I received the first one.A very faint voice, buy finally I recogignized the voice, it was my brother, last time he called we talked about the cubs, and health problems as usual. But this call was different, he said he in the ICU, and the out look wasn't good, he said this might be the last phone call, as we talked he said to me not to take it so hard, he wasn't afraid to die, in fact his words were "been there done that".
