I caught one very similar to the one in your pix a few months ago, It looked more like a walleye than the saugeye I saw in pix but based on the the fact they have started stocking saugeye in Taylorsville, guessing it is a saugeye.

Caught this today....anyone else catch walleye on Taylorsville? Otherwise, we caught six crappie on number five shad rap while fishing for bass. Didn't catch any bass.

Thats a saugeye. The state has stocked them the past 2 years now. Me and some friends have caught a few close to legal keeping size. We have caught several in the 12-13 inch range. Did you measure yours by any chance? Im pretty excited to fish for them this spring while chasing the white bass up in the river.

I did not measure it, but would guses it was 15 to 16 inches. I let it go after removing the lure. It flared those gills out and didn't want to get cut.
