    They do not allow anyone to go back there on foot anymore unfortunately. Only access is by boat and it's a really good fishing spot. Sauger and walleye come up early spring and also alot of good catfish and crappie fishing there too. Caught this guy a few weeks ago

    Well hell. I've fished down there behind the humane society and walked up to the gates of the lock but you can't get get close enough to the current cause of the gates of the lock. Reckon that makes bank fishin pretty difficult

    Yea you can fish that side from the bank but keep in mind that is actually the shallow side of the river. Fishing is way better on the other side in my experience
