Yes sir, thank you for the kind words. This has been a spawning ground for all fish that swim the river for centuries. Definitely one of the states best overlooked fishery's.Chuck is a great guy to learn from, never personally met him but he always has good info on the falls, have learned a lot from his post, haven't fished the river much in the past year or so, did make it out 1 time this year, did fair, great place to fish, has to be one of my favorites, don't just catfish, there are so many types of fish to catch there, if one type isn't bitting, something is, good luck and welcome to the falls.
Yep, Chuck has an encyclopedia of knowledge about the area. Real cool dude. I fished yesterday in one of the creeks in that area. I had 8 species. It was a great day and caught lots of fish. All on artificial. This is by far my favorite fishery. Bass, crappie, hybrids, white bass, saugeye, and a walleye just to name a few. Can't wait till my next days off to do it again.

Thanks Don, now that's a great day. I love fishing the creeks when the river is up,especially where the green water meets the brown. Lots a good fish there😀ChuckYep, Chuck has an encyclopedia of knowledge about the area. Real cool dude. I fished yesterday in one of the creeks in that area. I had 8 species. The falls can be really good to you, or make you wanna go fish in a lake! As others have stated, skipjack is king for bait but I've also done well using chunks of carp. Chicken liver and prepared baits almost never work. Oh, and take plenty of hooks and sinkers as there are plenty of rocks to steal your rigs!
If your fishing from a boat be very careful. You might be in several feet of water one minute and inches the next. (did I mention there are a lot of rocks!) Best of luck!
