    Green River Lake

Heading to Green River this weekend, any reports? Lake conditions, level, any bass being caught? Just looking for general info no secret spots or baits. Thanks for any info.

I was out there yesterday in the vicinity of the state dock. I was not fishing but playing with my new graph so I can't report on the fishing but main lake temp was 49 degrees mid afternoon. Lake level is way down even for winter pool. Water in that area of the lake was colored pretty well but not quite muddy.

    Good luck

Actually, MrPike ... COE chart says it is EXACTLY at Winter Pool. And pretty much has been since the beginning of Feb.

Maybe that 7' loss of water between Summer & Winter Pool just makes it look "way down" ??

Monday we launched around 9:30 in the morning, recovering the boat near 3:00 p.m.
We pretty much had the lake to ourselves. We landed well over 100 fish, including at least my 21 small KY & LM bass. Not sure but I think I caught #11 & #16 twice. We kept only the 14 crappie over 9 inches. We did have 7 nice bluegill as well.
We used various Bobby Garland colors & minnows. Both worked equally well.

True. Its just that usually in mid March the lake is filling up faster than they can pull it with the usual spring rains. I should have said "way down for this time of the year" Thanks for the correction.

I think it's right on schedule from looking at the COE chart. They normally start hold water in most of their lake on 3/15.
