How far from the dam is the bait shop? I'd be coming East (up river) on route 8, would i have to pass the dam to get to bait store? We have also had some luck recently with crappie but the waters on the move up again now.

Bait store is just east of the entrance to the dam. Probably 200 yards or less. Water is a little at the dam today but still lots of folks fishing.Originally Posted by OHIOJYNX

Lots of folks at Meldahl this weekend. Fishing for catfish and other Ohio River gamefish. Summer may finally be here.
