So how'd you do?

decently. Most fish (all largemouth) were in the 10-12in size. All fish were caught on tubes and all were caught before 10am. Put in at Cardome in Georgetown around 7:30am and went up creek. My buddy pulled a nice 2.5-3lber right off the bat. Threw a little of everything (cranks, spinners, worms) and like I said the only thing that worked was the tubes. Couldn't get anything to bite after 10am though, called it a day around noon.
surprised that there wasn't a single smallmouth though
If you fished the deeper slow water like you said in your first post, that could explain it. I don't know that stretch well, but most deep slow holes I know aren't really good smallmouth spawning areas and that's what they're into right now.
Fished a shallow stretch of the elkhorn yesterday, smb males were bedding in slack water adjacent to main current, 2-3ft deep, on stone+sand bottom. Had some luck with floating minnow. No big fish, but fun to see what you're casting at, and good topwater bite
