I have a friend that has an alternative energy company, and he's pushing his product without gubment intervention.

    He will probably make it.........

He's one of the smartest people I know, and his IQ is higher than probably everyone on this board. He's way over genius level.......He spent way too many years wasting energy, but over the past 10 years, he's been doing really innovative ****.

he took his solar method to Minnesota in the winter a few years ago, and heated a small cabin exclusively from SOLAR. NOT talking 80 degrees warm, but livable (58 or so degrees) warm.......That was from a base of 10 during the day and -10 overnights..........

So, yea, alternatives are legit, just get GUBMENT out of it, and let markets dictate........

    sometimes gobment is needed

Lets not kid each other, utilitys USE government to further expand their reach, and also to limit competition, stop and think what could happen with out the NRC. some of those redundant safety features would be ignored because of red tape, and the bottom line. Imagine a 3 mile island scenario on one of the great lakes, and the effect it would have on the grinking water for about 10 million people.legislators don't come up with some of thjis stupid s--t, it's brought to their attention by self serving concerns aided by shyster lobbyists. Coal mining will never go back to underground mining, when companys can buy legislators to surface mine, and forget reclamation. Acid rain was real, will we go back to that, and how many jobs will that gain us.You guys forget that government can and is bought for the good of some, and to hell with the others. We don't need more government, but we could not exist with no government.
