I'm going to Barren this weekend for only my second time. Not really a fishing trip, but I will try to get my bass boat out in the mornings and evenings. Need some bass tips. Hybrid striper tips too if anyone has any.
Thanks
Mark

I would fish a shakey head or dropshot in 10-12 feet of water. That would be my guess where the thermocline is setting up and you might fine some fish grouped up. I had great success the only time I fished Barren by fishing a 20 yard stretch of bank with these two techniques.

I would probably fish somewhere else this weekend. Barren is almost 5 ft over summer pool and still rising due to flash flooding in that area.

He's right. It is unfishably muddy up Skaggs and I assume the other creeks are the same. Plus there is a BFL here Saturday so 150 more boats than your normal weekend. You will have to take a number to fish a spot. Go to Green. That's what I plan to do.
Some friends of mine rented a house there, so we are going for a 'fun' weekend. I was just going to fish whenever I had time.
Thanks for the input.
Since you are gonna be there, the main lake is up but has good color. I would fish along the rip rap on the dam, and the backs of the coves on the main lake if I were going to fish. I would also fish the wash-ins on the bluff walls. Points will probably have a boat on it at all times, and if not, it probably will have already been fished two or three times prior to you being able to get on it.
