My problem is they didn't call back to tell me when to come get it so I called 5 hours later and couldn't get anyone to pick up in that department. So I go there and once they find the battery they tell me it's not under warranty which I feel is not true since I purchased it in 2015. The Walmart sticker says the date on top of the battery but it's not enough proof....ok since I don't have the receipt (but they scanned the barcode) I decide to take the battery home and find the receipt and come back.

Next trip is mid morning and I get there to explain I'm here to just buy the battery because I can't find my receipt. Just scan the barcode and let me pay for the new battery less the $5.62 Pro rated credit and the $12 core charge. Nope! Gotta check the battery and then place it on charge to see if it's bad. Hahahahaha same dude is helping me. So I say ok man I'll be back. He said no it will only take a few minutes so I wait. 15 min later he agrees I'll get the $17.62 credit and get the battery for checkout but wait!!!! We need a CSR with a key to allow him to provide that credit and exchange. He calls and calls but no one shows up. An off the clock csr shows up and says ohhhh that guy is on break in the subway but should have been off break 20 min ago so he calls again and now a woman shows up and gets the key turn we needed and leaves. Now we are moving...but wait!!! My cashier isn't sure how to do the return so we stumble around with keystrokes and barcode scans and then here comes subway boy sayin I'm here....whatcha need? He gets behind the register with the now on the clock CSR and my original cashier....no one knows how to work the register to get me checked out. So they call for a manager. About that time I hear an announcement that says the morning meeting is about to happen and to report to the meeting spot. So now NOONE is answering the phone or showing up and here I am 40 min into it. Looking at the cashier and at times holding up the line because he has the register locked into my return I decided to leave. I could not handle the incompetence and lack of caring anymore. I called and gave the store manger the story and she was understanding but didn't have an answer or solution. I told her I'll come in the front by the customer service desk this weekend and have her paged so she could escort me back and handle this and she agreed. We will seeing is she actually does this. Very frustrating when a simple transaction turns into a cluster F.
to be fair I am at fault for not having the receipt. I also think that since my battery was purchased in 2013 and then replaced in 2015 thyme may not honor the new battery from the 2015 date? I guess I'm stuck on the original purchased date even though I did get a new battery with what I figured would be a full warranty. I suppose a person could go back every two years to get a new battery before the warranty is out? But they check the battery's with their equipment to decide what to do....hell I don't know. I just want the battery and if I have more issues I will just buy a new battery and leave the old one there and lose out on the $12.62.

Save yourself the aggravation and go to Advance Auto Parts next time.

I avoid WalMart as much as possible. My wife goes there more often, and I will go there occasionally but not often.
