I'm heading out to Elmer Davis on my kayak tomorrow... I've never been. I read the yearly fishing forecast from KFW and the outlook was good for bass this year. Has anyone bass fished there this year? How'd it go? Not needing any secret spots or what they're biting (although it would be appreciated ;-)... Just wanting to make sure I'm not wasting my Saturday or if I should go somewhere else.
Thanks!!
What I've heard is that it's a good place to get your string stretched. On the uptick.I'm heading out to Elmer Davis on my kayak tomorrow... I've never been. Caught one small bass and a 2-3 lb channel cat. My mistake was staying with topwater too long. Too determined to catch my first bass on a frog.
Was there enough moss to fish a frog, never been here.
There is moss on the edges of most of the lake that extend maybe 3-5 feet from shore. I tried working the frog over these areas, but didn't have any blowups. The water had fairly decent visibility, so I could see underneath the mats. It looked like solid vegetation from top to bottom. Didn't look like bass or even bluegill were getting up underneath them. The vegetation looked pretty weird to me, sort of like a solid cloud of green that went from bottom to surface.
Thanks, Yep that doesn't sound like frogging moss.
