Was there last week ... my partner and I brought home 11 keepers (nine 9" & two 11" fish). Hits were solid early, then towards the middle of the day they were just holding on (got heavy). Casting tube jigs to wood cover caught most of the fish. Variety of colors used but blu/char & yellow/char caught the most. Fish were around 6-8ft deep over 8-12fow. Water temps were still in the upper 70's (77-79deg) and the lake was at Summer Pool & normal clarity. Saw a thermocline at around 10ft deep in some places, but not everywhere we fished.
This incoming rain "may" be a game changer, by cooling the temps down. Hopefully it won't be too much, too quick, and cause the lake to jump up several feet.
Today's COE chart shows the lake about 4inches below pool and 77deg surface temp, so it hasn't changed much since then.
