Cumberland Update

Water temp mid lake towards dam was 59.8 to 60.5. Caught 5 fish most on a mega bass jerk bait (4) and a 4 inch Kitech swimbait (1). Like to thank the local bever for providing a new brush pile for me to fish in a couple weeks.

Went down Friday and put in at Pumpkin creek ramp,tough and slow for me anyways.Temp was still 59.5 had 6 all small and on 5 different lures, could not put a pattern together marked fish from the surface to the bottom. Did meet our one and only Peter Malony(site owner)of fishing. com. Nice to meet you and hope to see you back down there. When the water temps drop another 5to10 degrees should make it easier to pattern the fish for both of us.

Fished Friday and Sunday all day on C-land. Targeted stripers in the creeks. First day was White Oak and Fishing Creek the following trip. Can't seem to put together a good striper trip. Picked up one real healthy fish both days. Caught a bunch of nice small mouth in White Oak and a bunch of nice largemouth in Fishing Creek. All on big live shad. Targeting stripers by both pulling balloons and bottom fishing off points that have produced in the past. Very few boils or jumps seen both days. I'm not discouraged though, gonna get back at it this week. I will note that Fishing Creek water temp was way cooler than water in White Oak.
