December stripers

Hey guys, just curious if anyone has been chasing stripers at Cumberland so far this month. I did well a couple years ago in the heads of the creek Wolf and Beaver pulling shiners since I am terrible at catching bait. Should I give it a try or is it so slow I should just stay at the house? I don't have a real report to give you on stripers but went out two weeks ago on Sunday and Monday and could not find bait at all in Fishing creek. Needless to say we didn't end up catching any because we couldn't net a single shad. Week before, the creek was loaded. Fished for crappie both days a bit and didn't see the first striper chasing in the jumps.

All the striper boats i saw were way up the creek and that seemed to be where most of the bait was. I did catch a couple smaller ones halfway back or so. Didnt see anything pushing any bait up and i was bass fishing

Buddy of mine has been catching them still. Pushing bait up. All the way back in a creek. He Caught one yesterday over 36 inches.

Have not fished Cumberland in the last several years in December. In the past I did well throwing deep running plugs and bucktails at night. Red clay banks. Start towards the back of the creek and work towards the main lake.
