There is a fine line between news and propaganda...........It's the fundamental base of the USA. YES there is "fake news" out there, there is also real investigavative news out there also. But attacking most of it as hog wash or fairy tales is the beginning of dictator ship. Tha last national election showed the paucity of viable candidates for office, there wsn't a "grassroots hero" anywhere. But a plutocracy isn't that hard to live in if you can afford it, and the nice thing about not being to afford to live under it, is you'll just be a bad memory to the ruling classes.
I can honestly say that if I've heard propaganda, it was far over my head or too far below my ken to even bother with it.But we are heading in that direction when a lot of the public communications are going under the control of fewer individuals.
Right now my fear is losing the 2ND amendment, the libs are in full attack mode on that right now.
there will be major changes to the second ammendment! No most liberals are not against it, but some aspects are in need of looking at.
I consider myself a liberal, I'm one of thos folks who think there may be two valid points of view.To be truthful i avoid most conservatives. they happen to be againstalmost everything and everybody except themselves. Most of the folks I know are moreliberal than conservative, and many are 2nd amendment backers. And those young people who are now speaking out against guns, how many of their parents own firearms. Me being a liberal thinks if you live at home, can't vote, dont work, just STFU. My son was telling me that tonight they had parent teacher converences. All the sudden gun fire broke out. The police decided that they need3d hostage training, with blanks, so why hold it at the largest middle school in the south east, after a school shooting? they had a homeowner on TV who said he needs an AR 15 for home protection, because he suspects that the person who breaks into his home might have one.So it appears that every home will be broken into, and major fire fight will occur#0 or more bullet holes in many houses will make them un fit for habitation. As a former hunter, I know from experience. if you miss with two sots, you're just making noise with follow ups.
i'm vindicated.
heard someone on radio say same thing i did.
said the dems would gladly sacrifice a few people to take away our guns.
they want complete control of us little people.
said it was all a plan for the new world order.
another thing...have you ever noticed the filthy rich always have a socialist agenda?
Soros, Gates, etc. etc.
also heard Soros was in favor of reducing the world population...hmmm, wonder how?
the moderately wealthy are usually conservative and want to be left alone.
kygorski, I have more liberals in 1 square mile then you have in your whole state, welcome to NJ, I have 2 questions for you, 1) Do you own a gun? 2) Do you hunt? If you answer YES to both, you lost your liberal membership card here in NJ, and that is no joke. These idiots went as far as taking our fishing/hunting savings for better ramps and open space and put it in a "general" fund, and that millions went to a low income apartment complex in Newark, about a year after it was finished, it was trashed, us outdoorsmen freaked, but of course it went down the poop shoot. The libs in this state are anti-gun and anti-killing "bambi", already protested the bear hunt till it finally got shut down by our new Gov. (piece of garbage), and lets see this legal pot B.S. start and watch this state tank to the bottom of the sea.
No I don't presently own a gun, I bought my first firearm when I was 16 yrs old.12 ga shotgun.Since then I qwned maybe 12 or 13 various firearms. No don't hunt[anymore], but have no objections to hunting per se, but bow hunting to me is un humane, and many guys doing it, should switch over to machine guns, a couple I know have lost wounded deer for the past few seasons.A term used for hunters is nimrod, for some bow hunters? it should be numbnutz.. at present I live in a state that has more spanish speaking people than mexico. It is a solid rep state, and they have voting instructions in spanish!!splain dat one lucy
Have you ever bow hunted? Do you know folks that do?
In general, most bow hunters I know are the best of the best, and they make pretty **** good kill shots.
I don't see where you say it is inhumane.........personally, I think folks that use scoped rifles from 200-300 yards or more, who DON'T practice that shot quite a bit, are inhumane hunters. Lots of bad shots are taken that way.
HM.

No I have never bow hunted, and if you would have noticed I said a few folks i know are avid bow hunters. Some are even relatives.Yes you can wound animals and lose them with firearms, but I have across two carcases with arrows[one] in them.OK I'm not a big venisen or deer eater, but if I really wanted wild game, my choice would be a massive grill guard, and a 4x4 truck

I've eaten venison before and it's really good. I'd deer hunt myself if I had a rifle that was allowed to hunt deer. I sold my 12 gage shotgun many years ago and I would be able to use it for deer hunting with slug ammo if I still had it and the desire to hunt deer.
I stay out of the woods and field during gun season for deer hunters. We have far too many hunter and not enough public land to hunt on. So even though we are required to wear bright orange on the clothing we still have too many stupid crazy people out hunting deer on public property.
The last time I hunted Doves on public property I ran into a guy that I had met in the past and ending up hitting him in the nose to get him off me in the parking lot of the US Post Office in my town. He attacked me while I was in my car and grabbed me by the neck while I was at the US Post office parking lot in 1973/74 many year ago. He was fighting with his girlfriend as I pulled into the parking lot that day. He was fighting mad and angry at everyone and every thing. He was pushing and hitting his girlfriend who he was picking up that day. She was getting off work from the factory across the street and meeting him in the US Post office's parking lot to go home. He tried to choke me though my car window. I got out and as he ran at me I punched him square in the nose and stopped him dead in his tracks. S
So years later I'm driving down this gravel road that leads to the boat launching ramp where I fish on the public fish and wildlife area. The guy is on the North side of the road sitting in a lawn chair next to his truck. All the vehicles are parked on the North side of the road and the hunting area is on the South Side of the road. They have the hunting area marked with red flags in order to spread the hunters out apart by 40 yards. The shooting lanes are from West to East.
Now this idiot is on the North side of the road and he shoots his shotgun across the roadway to the South right in front of my truck as I'm driving West on the road. That was the first thing he did that pissed me off. Then later that day he was back in the field hunting. I had driven out to the hunting area to see what was going on to scope out the fields. Then later that day I went and signed up to hunt and was setup next to these same gun about 40 yards from him. I shot 6 doves that day and the last one landed in front of these guy and his buddy. They had a black lab which ran out and grabbed the dove that I shot. I figured I already had 5 dove and didn't really need anymore. So I said to him that he could keep the dove. But earlier that day he has already hunted and now he was back for more hunting.
He took exceptions to what I said and came over my way to try to argue with me again. Maybe he was just like that with anyone but I was standing only 40 yards away from him and I was holding a fully loaded 12 gage shotgun and he left his gun back with his friend. He turned around and packed up their stuff and left. Later I saw him down the road hunting in an area that was off limits. That's why I won't hunt on public land anymore. Too many idiots out there. One idiot is too many. And there are not enough Conservation Officers out there to police the hunters.
A properly sighted and patterned 30 cal. rifle is very capable of accuracy with out a scope at 200 yds. I imagine here in the eastern US there aren't that many places that demand 300 yd shots.Manyof the hunters that I knew had either deer stands or used previous sighting to find hunting areas.BUT as with everything else, the sport has become crowded.I gave up water fowl hunting when the 10 gauge shot gun began showing up more and more often. Most of "new " hunters think that range is as far as you can see.More crippled water fowl, more downed where they couldn't be reaced, it wasn't worth the hassle anymore. Then came purchased hunting rights, a group would put up a fee and pay land owners to limited use of their property. So small game hunting became harder for the common hunter.Public land were OK for us guys who had week days off, but even that became a drawing system.By the time I had enough land of my own, I had already lost interest in hunting, and instead starting to make places for them to feed and be observed.
