I agree money is an issue and I can't imagine a viable plan from the gubment to place armed guards or metal detectors in every public place of learning. It boggles the mind at how much money it would take to cover 100,000 schools (guessing the number) then add in the cost of equipment, insurance, construction if metal detectors are used, training and upkeep. Maybe they will nationally expand a current police force and cover the schools? Still comes down to money because guns in general ain't going anywhere...that cat is out of the bag. I am a gun owner and enjoy my semi-auto handguns and long guns so I lean toward not messing with my right to bear arms.
