I have nothing to do. and for me that's great Some of you guys are recently retired, and some are are waiting for that day or event to happen. yes it's enjoyable for many, but I have been retired since 1993. I thouht about maybe a part time job ONCE.Half that time I was married, We traveled for about 5 years We'd load up the travel trailer and head dut for several months at a time, we had the pets with us, and they sort of liked it, the dog was extatic about it..North in the summer, the gulf in the winter.Sometimes we'd go visit family, or they would come down to stay with us. then came the illnesses for the second wife, When she died, at home with cancer, her social security went with her.So all the chores on the 26 acres fell to me. I still had my two boats, the travel trailer was gone, and finally I had trouble taking care of the place. I became engaged again at age 72, she got sick, and and then it was just me. My health started to go south with the artrritis, and the boat was gone. I knew it was time, because i fell down twice loading it back onto the trailer,I lay there for almost 20 minutes,.Then my troubles started. I have pancreatic cancer, I opted not to have the radiation or the chemo. there been three oncologists who have given me less than 6 months. I went from a hospital to a hospice center, guess what I got better, but needed monitored place, it wasn't bad, but there were restritions. I hate restrictions. So now I live alone, got my sons dog who was also dying, and with the execptional weekly nurses visit, am completely free. BUT I.m a news junky, but hate cable news which has turned into the shopping network.So i have my desk top, and amazon, net flicks , hulu.I also get two national newspaper on line. Folks ask me how can you stand not doing nothing, I tell them I am an expert on doing nothing. I still drive, I still have a clam shell cell phone.. one of you guys said maybe I was losing it, I'm not, .I'm just a boring old man with time on my hands. I avoid conservative, and liberal rantings. and I hate to rain on your parades, but america, the one i knew is broken, , and like the saying goes, all the kings horsemen and all the experts will never put it back together again.
