Tennessee river bluegill

It’s that time of year again, some of the best fish you can put in the freezer or on the table are Bluegill, and it’s time to go get some, and don’t forget to take a kid or the wife, these are fun to catch and they will bite fast enough to hold the attention of the wife and children. We had a good trip fishing for them on the Tennessee river, some of the best ones I’ve caught in a while, thought I’d share and try to encourage you dads to take those kids fishing, to me it seams like, to many young guys don’t take the time to teach their kids to fish, over the years past, fishing has helped me so much when I’ve been stressed and troubled over something, being on a river or lake, alone or with a friend, it bring a peace to me like nothing else, fishing by day you can see God’s work all around in living color, and by night, which is my favorite way to fish, you can just forget everything, and enjoy the stillness and quiet around you. God created a greater light, that rules the day and a smaller light that rules the night. And nothing brings more peace to me, than being on a lake, in the middle of night, waiting on a smallmouth to take my jig, and looking at all the stars in the sky and wondering, if heaven is this beautiful on the bottom, what will it look like when I get to see it from above.
