Sucky Day

Well, I report when we do decent but today I report that it sucked. This cold front that arrived late Thursday night has hung around for 4 days too long! The panfish were primed to do their thing but this weather has flushed them off of their beds for the most part it seems.

The full moon is quickly approaching, hopefully it'll warm back up and the fish will resume their duties. This is the week for us bluegill/redear guys!!

Back when I would chase them the window from mothers day to memorial day was always the best time to catch the bulls. All you need is a couple days of stable sunshine and it will be on like donkey kong.

Late yesterday afternoon at Ky Lake I did catch 4-5 nice 8" bluegill,14" Smallmouth,14"Largemouth,and a 5lb Channel Cat all on my really Ultra light bluegill rod;they were some fun fights...touch and go on the Cat for a while.
