if you buy a better unit you can all ways take it off if you sell the boat.the thing about buying better sonar units. are you going to take the time to learn how to use it properly? i have got one,but the way i fish ,i havent taken the time on the water to properly use it to my advantage. i dont go often enough to take the time to learn how to use it. i just want to be flinging baits. good luck in your decision.

I too have spent a lot of money on electronics but haven't taken time to truly learn and get the most out of them. your commitment to maximizing what you buy is important in my opinion.if you buy a better unit you can all ways take it off if you sell the boat.the thing about buying better sonar units. are you going to take the time to learn how to use it properly? i have got one,but the way i fish ,i havent taken the time on the water to properly use it to my advantage. i dont go often enough to take the time to learn how to use it. i just want to be flinging baits. good luck in your decision.
