If masks didn't stop the spread of disease organisms from the mouth then Surgeons would not wear surgical masks to protect their patients. Nurses would all have contracted the virus if masks didn't work.

Answer the question. If the mask didn't work then why are all the hospital workers not all sick? Mask work and protect them from getting the virus as they work with virus-infected patients.

N95 masks work better at protecting oneself. Paper masks work best at protecting others from getting the virus from the person wearing the mask.
