It figures that you would say something like above. So you don't care about the safety of others if you are infected and don't know it? That's pretty selfish of you TimE. This is why the virus continues to spread because of people like you spreading doubt and then others read your BS and don't wear a mask when out and about. And when people fail to wear a mask you then go and say that masks don't work. You cause them to stop wearing a mask when you tell people that masks don't work. Who do you work for? Russia's Putin? Anyone that actually believes that mask protect others but not the wearers have a serious intellect problem. Floating virus particles in a static state can penetrate a cloth mask. Right? Pressurized virus particles can’t escape a cloth mask. Right? Do you know how ignorant that sounds to anyone with a single firing synapse?
I said that it reduced the number of virus particles going out of the mouth and nose when a mask is worn. And if we had enough N95 masks for everyone to wear all the time they were out and around other people the virus would be better controlled. There are different types of masks with N95 the gold standard. I posted some links to a discussion on various types of masks made with different materials. Go back and read them before you keep embarrassing yourself by showing your ignorance. I never said that it stopped all the virus particles. But a mask can stop 95% of the particles of 0.3 micron and larger. And a mask can slow the velocity of the droplets coming out of the mouth when one coughs or talks. That helps slow the spread when we wear a mask and stay 6 ft apart. And if an infected person does not wear a mask and coughs the droplets carrying large amounts of virus particles can go much further and infect may others around the infected person that coughs. Now if the same infected person wears a good mask then the number of virus particles is reduced considerably and the distance they travel is reduced thus protecting others around the person who coughed.
Mask mandates have done nothing but make positive cases explode! Sure maybe a few islands but they are outliers. It is devastatingly irresponsible to continue to spout BS about cloth masks when they are scientifically proven ineffective!! Sure they may limit your spray matter from a sneeze or cough but clearly that isn’t how this virus is spreading. “ A cloth mask may prevent you from sneezing into someone’s eyes” for example, that is only purpose served.
Mask mandates do not cause positive cases to explode. . That is a ridiculous statement that is false. WEARING A MASK REDUCED THE SPREAD! Cloth masks made out of cotton that is tight weave and multilayers are good for stopping the virus from getting away when one coughs while wearing said mask. A good multilayers high thread count cotton mask reduced the spread of the virus when people talk or cough and reduced the distance that those particles that pass through the mask travel. Less virus gets out when we wear a mask than if we don't wear a mask. That is just easy to see and comprehend. Anyone that can't see that is not being truthful. Now if you are talking about a thin cloth mask made out of polyester with a low thread count then more virus particles may pass through that material. Wrong. Nothing is absolute. And masks work better than not having a mask on the face. People that say that masks don't work or absolutely useless are useless people absolutely! Actually, the virus is not designed to be airborne. I don't know where you got that. Are you trying to say that the Chinese designed the virus to fly through the air? That is lunacy talking. What I can't believe is that 70 million people voted for Trump. I bet that most of those votes were rigged for Trump. The software must have changed all the votes for Biden to Trump somehow. Ask Rudi how that is done. ha ha We are already in trouble as Trump failed to control the virus and continues to play golf while the virus spreads to millions of more people who don't wear masks or social distance. The White House is a perfect example of how the virus spreads when people fail to wear masks and don't practice social distancing. That is why Trump's own son is now infected with the Covid-19. And more studies are showing that people don't fully recover from the virus even when they don't die. There are lingering effects to the heart, brain, and other organs when infected with the virus. People that are infected and asymptomatic and don't know that they have the virus infection can have long term problems. That is what I think may have happened to you TimE.
