My “True Love” in the song refers to God. Thus, each of the following gifts is to be understood as gifts from God.

1. The partridge in the pear tree refers to Jesus Christ on the cross. A partridge was
known as the only bird that would give up her life for her nest of eggs/chicks.

2. Turtle Doves refer to The Old and New Testaments.

3. French Hens stand for the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit),
or Faith, Hope and Love, the Primary Virtues.

4. Calling Birds are the Four Gospels and/or the Four Evangelists.

5. Golden Rings represent the first Five Books of the Old Testament, the “Pentateuch,”
which gives the history of man’s fall from grace, which describe man's fall into sin
and the great love of God in sending a Savior.

6. Geese a-laying refers to the six days of creation.

7. Swans A-swimming represent the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit: prophecy, serving,
exhortation, teaching, contribution, leadership and mercy.

8. Maids A-milking are the eight beatitudes.

9. Ladies dancing are the nine Fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (chastity).

10. Lords a-leaping stand for the Ten Commandments.

11. Pipers piping represent the eleven faithful apostles.

12. Drummers drumming symbolize the twelve points of doctrine from the ancient
Apostle’s Creed.
That song has nothing to do with Jesus or God. What religion do you practice anyway? But there you go again pushing your religion into the limelight for all to see. Does that make you feel better now? I'm glad that you have something to worship that makes you feel better in this troubling time. But Jesus won't save you if you get the Virus. Nope. You can pray all you like and you may still die a horrible death. You can see that after we lost over 280,000 Americans to the virus. And we are losing 3000 Americans each day from this virus. More died from the virus than died in all the Wars including WWI, WWII and the Vietnam War, and the Civil War too. Where was your God then? Maybe he was taking a nap and didn't hear your prayers.
